The Karanambu Trust
Slide Show: Conservation Training

The first Karanambu Trust conservation biology training course was held in the newly renovated the Trust House in June and August 2011. The course was titled "Leadership Training in Environmental Research and Monitoring" and was co-taught by volunteer Karanambu Trust conservation biologist Dr. Evi Paemelaere and biologist Matt Hallett of Caiman House. There were a total of 20 participants in the first and 24 in the second session, from four villages: Toka, Kwaimatta/Massara, Yupukari, and Katoka. The course was made possible by another first: a grant to the Trust from the World Wildlife Fund WWF-Guianas.
